United Sherpa Association Transfers $30,521 to Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund

NEW YORK, October 8, 2026 — The United Sherpa Association Inc. (Sherpa Kyidug) has transferred $30,521 (approximately NPR 46.94 lakh) raised from 107 donors to Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support communities affected by recent floods.

According to the association, the funds were transferred on October 6, 2026, through a U.S. dollar account at Himalayan Bank in Nepal.

The transfer marks the first installment of the association’s ongoing flood-relief fundraising campaign. The organization confirmed that donations remain open and additional contributions will be sent to Nepal in the next round.

Engineer Temba Sherpa, President of the United Sherpa Association, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all 107 donors, community members, businesses, and organizations for their generous support.

“We sincerely thank every donor for their kindness, generosity, and trust. Your contributions demonstrate the unity and compassion of our community and will help support families affected by the floods in Nepal,” said Sherpa.

The association has encouraged community members and well-wishers to continue contributing to the humanitarian effort, emphasizing that every donation, regardless of size, can make a meaningful difference.
