Himalayan Hope Network transfers $26,272.20 to Nepal for Rasuwa–Bhotekoshi Flood Relief
NEW YORK, September 21, 2026 — When disaster strikes, distance becomes secondary to compassion. In the aftermath of the devastating flood that swept through the Rasuwa–Bhotekoshi region of Nepal on August 26, 2026, communities thousands of miles away responded with a simple but powerful message: those affected would not stand alone.

Himalayan Hope Network Inc., a New York-based nonprofit organization, has sent US$26,272.20—approximately NPR 4,024,638.32—to Nepal to support families and communities affected by the disaster.
The contribution represents far more than a financial figure. It is the collective expression of 92 donors from across the United States who came together through the Rasuwa–Bhotekoshi Flood Relief Campaign, turning concern into action and compassion into tangible support.
In the days following the disaster, Himalayan Hope Network mobilized its members, supporters, and wider community to respond to the humanitarian need. Donations arrived from individuals united by a shared desire to help people facing loss, displacement, and uncertainty. Together, their contributions reached US$26,272.20.
The entire amount raised through the campaign was transferred to Nepal on September 15, 2026, for the Government of Nepal’s Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund. The funds were sent by bank transfer directly to the Relief Fund’s U.S. dollar account maintained at Himalayan Bank Limited.
For Himalayan Hope Network, the campaign became an expression of solidarity that crossed borders. From donors who contributed financially to individuals who helped spread the appeal, coordinate the campaign, communicate with communities, and support the effort behind the scenes, each contribution became part of a larger humanitarian response.
Kaji Gurung, President of Himalayan Hope Network Inc., expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood behind the campaign.
